QwittQuacks

After the relatively fun and interesting exchange of posts and comments with @Fayza last week, and my subsequent sign up with Qwitter flapping logo, I’ve decided to set up category for chronicling those that quit me after some tweet or another. Please realize, dear reader, that I don’t truly put a lot of credence into the philosophy behind all of this. In actuality, I find it more interesting than anything else.

So, from here forward, I’ll add a comment with the content of the email that Qwitter sends me when one of my tweets cause some one to jump ship! Who knows, it could be fun! Would love to have you post some of your more memorable Qwitts here as well! Let’s start a groovy collection.

Test Post to Check TwitterTools Plugin Update

Just publishing a test post in order to check out Alex King’s must install update to his TwitterTools plugin. If all is groovy, this posting will trigger the plugin to send notice to my Twitter account and that will send out a tweet to the Twittersphere (is that a word? ;) )

Anyways, get Alex’s information on why you need this update at his post, Twitter Tools 1.5 [...] Continue Reading…

@Fayza: The Politics & Practice of “Following” on Twitter

First and foremost, allow me to express my most sincere gratitude to have been a “featured” aspect of a post on Fayza’s blog. Believe me, reader, when you see your name in print, you pay attention. (Presuming, of course that you are one of the 99.9999% of people that don’t necessary see yourself in print often, if at all.) People I know seem to take it for granted that since (most of them are online folk) they live in the online spaces, seeing them selves in the “bright type” is the most natural thing. I, for one, still allow myself to be awed when it happens to me (and I wasn’t the one responsible for putting it there, of course!) [...] Continue Reading…

Election 2008, the eve of history

Thought I’d weigh in, albeit briefly, regarding the upcoming elections. While I’ve been voting since turning 18 years of age (yeah, a long time, so?) the one consistent and disturbing trend I’ve personally noticed is just how increasingly vile the negative attack campaigning has become.

My first voting opportunity was back in the Fall of 1984. Couldn’t even begin to tell you who was running or what the measures were about, etc. I do remember that I had just gotten to U.C. Berkeley, was living in a Fraternity and soaking in all that was the East Bay at that time (trust me, there was, and still is a LOT to soak in! ;) ) If I’m not mistaken, I was a registered Republican for that and several ensuing election cycles. Fate v. Divine Intervention: Signal vs. Noise

And the more I really think about it, the more I absolutely believe that we control our own destiny. However, I also feel that there are certain laws of success and the Universe that will aid us.

Communicate about telecommuting

Are you currently involved in any sort of telecommuting work scenario? If so, would you mind sharing how it works for you (or doesn’t work)?

Promoting the promotion promoter

The above link will take you over to Seth Godin’s blog, a most excellent place to find yourself. Usually. I’ve been a subscriber to his online writing for some time now, and enjoy his little insights and tidbits that he publishes quite regularly. And while he doesn’t have commenting on his site enabled, I could sort of understand the hassle of dealing with them (the comments) if the volume was consistently high, and there were other things to do with ones time. So, if you want to comment on Seth’s writings, you produce a post (hmmm, like this one!) and say your piece (or is it peace?) [...] Continue Reading…

50 Things Your Customers Wish You Knew

While tending to shy away from just reposting or regurgitating others posts, I’ve realized that one of the beautiful things about the Internet, the blogosphere in particular is the viral aspects that many of the CMS applications set and promote. [...] Continue Reading…
