Redwood Palms Investor Relations Application

This custom installation is another site application that is being powered by the bgEngine, our Application Framework founded by WordPress. This brings us to 15 domains being powered off the bgEngine, and we couldn’t be happier!

A brief description from Redwood Palms Pictures public site:

The business of making movies is changing
And has created a unique opportunity for private investors.
There is an emerging trend in Hollywood is driven by the worldwide audience’s desire to support independent films and non-formula stories.

Redwood Palms invests in such films. These Independent films can be produced for a fraction of the budget of a studio feature with studio contracted actors. Part of the model for success is the passion shared between the talent attached and the production staff, along with their commercial profit potential.

To facilitate investor relationships, RPP has commissioned Boldly Going’s production team to create an application which allows existing and prospective investors to learn more about the actual opportunity to invest in various “slates” (or funds for the more traditional investor) of films. We at BG decided that nothing would work better for RPP’s investors than a custom developed WP application and have gone about the design and implementation of just such an application.

Coming up, we’ll look at some of the various “departures” from the normal CMS/blogging application that WordPress is and discuss how we think about WordPress when we imagine solutions for RPP and all of our clients.
